Wildlife
A lot of wildlife can be seen from the park, even Bald
Eagles

More than 120 species have been identified in the park
over the years, including Great Blue Heron (they roost just
west of the park), common Mallard Ducks, Common Goldeneye,
Black-chinned Hummingbirds etc are all seen.
The best time of day for wildlife viewing is in the early
morning and late afternoon hours. Fox, squirrels, and garter
snakes are the most commonly seen land animals.
Beaver, gray fox and muskrat are also present but rarely
spotted as of course it is a perfect landscape for them to
hide. Deer are also spotted roaming the park in the
fall and early spring. Even Elk have been spotted.
